How do I care for the Grass?

Watering the Grass

As your dog uses the Potty every day, it's important to keep the grass hydrated to maintain its lush green appearance. We recommend using a spray bottle filled with water to mist the grass regularly. This will help prevent it from drying out and becoming brittle. Additionally, if you notice a urine spot, simply use a cup of water to flush the affected area. This will help keep the grass fresh and odor-free.

Replacing the Grass

Over time, the grass on your Potty may start to brown and lose its vibrancy. When this happens, it's time to order a new piece of grass. Once your new grass arrives, give the tray a quick rinse to remove any dirt or debris. Then, pour fresh water into the tray and place the new grass on top. Your Porch Potty will be ready for your dog to use once again!

Optimal Placement

To ensure the longevity of your Porch Potty grass, it's important to consider its placement. We recommend keeping the tray in a partially shaded area to prevent the grass from being dried out by direct sunlight. This will help maintain its lush and vibrant appearance, providing a comfortable surface for your dog to do their business.

Protecting from Inclement Weather

While Porch Potty grass is designed to withstand outdoor conditions, it's important to take precautions during inclement weather. If rain or snow is expected, we advise moving the Potty indoors or to a covered area to prevent the grass from getting wet. Alternatively, if you have limited space, you can simply cover the Porch Potty with a waterproof tarp. This will ensure that your dog can continue to use it without any inconvenience.
