Can I buy my own live sod for the Porch Potty?

We don’t recommend it, the Porch Potty was designed to work with “dirtless grass”. The hydroponic “sod” that we sell for the Porch Potty has less than 1% of dirt which is considerably less than the dirt on “regular sod”. Regular sod will clog the Porch Potty drainage system which can cause odor and serious drainage problems. If you do purchase your own live sod, we recommend using the Catch Basin to avoid clogging the drainage hose.
