We recommend rinsing the Porch Potty daily. The best time to do it is when your dog no longer needs to go as frequently, such as before bed. This will give the Potty time to dry and your dog won’t get wet paws the next time they use it.
To clean the Potty, we recommend using warm water with vinegar or water and bleach. Use these to wipe down the tray and the sides of the Potty. This will help clean any urine that may have missed its mark, as both male and female dogs may pee too close to the side or splash. Make sure to get under the tray too!
If it is the grass that is smelling, you can also try soaking it in the solutions above then rinse and dry completely. If soaking in bleach do not go over 5 minutes and make sure the ratio of water is greater than bleach.
